Dubbo City is also geographically located as the ideal place to stay while roaming the surrounding region.
Just two hours North West is the spectacular Warrumbungle National Park and the internationally recognised Siding Spring Observatory. Less than 60 minutes east is the famous wine growing township of Mudgee, and historical Gulgong.
Even closer at just 30 minutes east, is the beautiful Wellington Caves and Phosphate Mine. Other attractions in the area are the World Renowned Macquarie Marshes, Goobang National Park and the CSIRO Parkes Observatory .
